A Yemeni resident was killed and two others, a Saudi national and a Pakistani resident, were injured by debris from a Houthi drone in Taif on Thursday. The drone was intercepted and destroyed by Saudi authorities.
The Saudi Civil Defense reported that fragments of the drone fell on several buildings and vehicles, resulting in the death of the Yemeni resident and injuries to the Saudi national. The condition of the Pakistani resident was described as critical.
This incident is part of a continued escalation by the Houthi militia against Saudi territory. In recent days, the group has launched ballistic missiles and drones targeting Saudi regions and facilities.
