According to journalistic sources, the incident began with a cyberattack directed at a Houthi operations room located beneath Jabal Al-Nahdin. Hours later, a drone strike reportedly targeted a private vehicle carrying a prominent Houthi military commander as he departed the Presidential Palace area.
Journalist Fares Al-Haimi, citing private sources, stated that the cyberattack preceded the drone strike. The commander was attempting to leave the Presidential Palace vicinity, a period during which the militia had intensified security measures within the area, including restricting employees' use of mobile phones.
The sequence of events suggests a notable security vulnerability within one of the Houthi's most fortified and sensitive locations. This operation reportedly took place despite measures implemented by the militia to prevent information leaks and control communication devices within the Presidential Palace.
