The National Resistance Political Bureau has lauded the recent decisions announced by the Presidential Leadership Council, viewing them as a long-awaited step towards restoring the state and ending the Houthi coup.
In a statement released on Saturday, September 26, 2026, the National Resistance Political Bureau expressed its full support for the council's directives, issued on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the September 26 Revolution. The bureau highlighted that these decisions are crucial for national and popular mobilization aimed at reclaiming state institutions and decisively ending the Houthi insurgency.
The Political Bureau pledged its allegiance to the Presidential Leadership Council and all branches of the armed forces, urging them to fulfill their constitutional duties during this critical juncture. It also called upon its members, supporters, political parties, organizations, and all national forces to rally behind these decisions, characterizing them as a vital roadmap for the restoration of state institutions, the expulsion of Houthi militia control, and the liberation of the capital, Sana'a.
The pronouncements follow a speech by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, who, during his address commemorating the September Revolution, underscored the imperative of ending the coup, restoring the state, and confronting the threats jeopardizing Yemen and the wider region. The Chairman announced a call for general mobilization to counter the Iranian-backed Houthi militia and thwart their destructive agenda within Yemen.
The National Resistance Political Bureau affirmed its endorsement of the Chairman's speech, particularly its emphasis on the necessity of liberating Yemen from Houthi control and foiling what was described as an Iranian plan targeting regional states and international navigation in the Bab al-Mandab strait and the Red Sea.
Furthermore, the bureau held the Houthi militias accountable for the ongoing attacks on civilian targets in the West Coast, Taiz, Marib, and Al Jawf. It cited the severe damage inflicted upon the Yemeni people and neighboring countries, notably Saudi Arabia, and issued a stern warning regarding the repercussions of these attacks at local, regional, and international levels.
