Major General Tarek Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and head of the National Resistance, met with Lieutenant General Fahd bin Hamad Al Salman, Commander of the Joint Forces, to discuss the evolving Yemeni landscape and methods for enhancing coordination and joint efforts to improve the readiness of the Yemeni armed forces across various fronts.
The meeting, held at the Joint Forces Command headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focused on the requirements of the upcoming phase and the critical importance of role integration and unified efforts to bolster the armed forces' preparedness and their capacity to fulfill their national duties, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
During the discussions, Major General Saleh commended the Joint Forces Command for its support to the Yemeni armed forces and the National Resistance. He praised ongoing initiatives aimed at unifying ranks, rehabilitating military units, and enhancing their operational readiness.
Saleh expressed confidence in the Yemeni armed forces personnel and their resolve to execute their duties, emphasizing the necessity of sustained improvements in readiness, coordination, and integrated efforts to align with the demands of the future phase.
Lieutenant General Al Salman, in turn, acknowledged Major General Saleh's contributions within the Presidential Leadership Council and his leadership of the National Resistance. He also recognized the sacrifices made by the National Resistance and its members in their engagements against the Houthi forces.
Both parties underscored the significance of unity, consolidated efforts, and complementary roles. They agreed to continue coordination and joint operations to boost morale, rebuild units, and elevate combat readiness in the ongoing effort to restore the state and its institutions.
