In a released statement, the Political Bureau described the initiation of these military operations as a long-awaited "national and historic decision." It urged all armed forces, resistance fighters, and diverse Yemeni factions to embrace their responsibilities and collectively pursue the operation's objectives with unified national resolve.
Members of the Political Bureau and its supporters affirmed their commitment to being at the forefront of backing these new military directives, encouraging active participation in support and mobilization efforts. The statement emphasized the current phase as critical in the confrontation with the Houthi movement.
The Political Bureau issued a call to various political and social entities, as well as the Yemeni populace, to rally behind the Presidential Leadership Council, the armed forces, and the resistance. This unity of effort and resources, it stated, is crucial for strengthening fronts and bolstering ongoing military operations.
The statement also acknowledged and commended the sacrifices made by government forces and resistance fighters on the Western Coast, in Taiz, Marib, Lahj, and other fronts. It praised the battlefield victories achieved against the Houthis, asserting the resistance's continued engagement until the group's control is ended.
Furthermore, the Political Bureau expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia's support to Yemen, characterizing the Kingdom's assistance as instrumental in efforts to end the Houthi coup and promote security and stability within Yemen and the broader region. The Bureau concluded by reiterating its commitment to continued combat against the Houthis, warning that the armed group's sustained control poses a significant threat to regional security, stability, and international navigation.
