US Notes Increased Global Support for Black Sea Ceasefire

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated on Saturday that there is increasing international interest in establishing a limited ceasefire in the Black Sea. The objective is to guarantee unobstructed energy and grain shipments from both Russia and Ukraine.

Rubio informed reporters at a news conference that the United States is currently examining proposals put forth by Turkey and India aimed at facilitating the movement of grain supplies.

The Secretary emphasized the global implications of the ongoing situation, noting, "This is threatening the world for food security and some energy security as well."

He further elaborated on the potential impact of such an agreement, stating, "We'd like to achieve it. It doesn't solve the war, but at least it solves a unique aspect of it."
