Liverpool's £50M Minteh Bid Shut Down by Brighton

Liverpool's pursuit of Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh has hit a roadblock, with a surprise £50 million offer reportedly rejected by the Seagulls. The Reds are actively seeking attacking reinforcements before the summer transfer window slams shut.

Minteh has emerged as a key target for Liverpool's recruitment team, who see him as a dynamic, high-potential option to fill the void on the right wing, potentially stepping in for Mohamed Salah. His blistering pace, relentless pressing, and direct style are believed to align perfectly with Liverpool's tactical approach.

Despite the interest, Brighton appears unwilling to let the Gambian international depart. Minteh, who has been sidelined following surgery on a leg injury sustained in a pre-season friendly, is still considered a crucial long-term asset for the club and is expected to be out for another eight weeks.

The bid for Minteh is reportedly part of a broader strategy by Liverpool to sign multiple wide attackers this summer. The club has also been linked with moves for Bradley Barcola and Ibrahima Mbaye.

Minteh has made 73 appearances for Brighton, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists. Across his entire senior career, he has a record of 25 goals and 19 assists in 127 appearances for Brighton, Feyenoord, and Odense BK.
