Brigadier General Tarek Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, affirmed that the "terrorist attacks" perpetrated by the Houthi militia will not deter Yemenis from their efforts to restore state institutions and end the coup. He emphasized that assaults targeting military and security facilities will not diminish the resolve of forces defending the republic.
Saleh's remarks came during a phone call with the governor of Shabwah, Awad bin Al-Wazir. The conversation followed an attack that targeted a training center at the Martyr Ahmed Al-Sulaimani camp near the city of Ataq. Brigadier General Saleh offered condolences for the victims of the attack and condemned the assault, which has been attributed to the Houthi militia.
He reiterated his support for the local authority and security agencies in Shabwah, stating his solidarity with efforts aimed at bolstering security and stability and confronting threats targeting the governorate and its military and security institutions.
Governor Awad bin Al-Wazir, in turn, affirmed Shabwah's commitment to its security and stability. He pledged the continuation of efforts to protect citizens and vital facilities, and to counter any attempts to destabilize public order.
